Let's build better brains together
Reach Out and Read Minnesota has a number of ways to get involved and share the brain building power of books across our state.
Book drives: Our partner clinics are always grateful to receive new children's books they can use for our core program. Volunteers can organize online book drives for our program by asking their friends, coworkers, or community members to purchase new books through a local bookstore or one of Reach Out and Read Minnesota's book distribution partners. Please contact us before starting your book drive so we can make sure the right books get to the clinics that need them the most! If you are interested in starting a book drive, please review our book donation guidelines here, and contact us via email or the form below. We can also accept some donations of gently used books. Please read more on our book donation page, or fill out the form below for more information.
Reading to children: Due to changes in clinic procedures during the COVID-19 pandemic, our partner clinics are not currently accepting volunteer waiting room readers. This page will be updated if and when this changes.
Book sorting: While we currently do not have in-house book sorting volunteer opportunities, we would be happy to connect you with our partners at M Health Fairview, who often have opportunities to help with book sorting for their literacy outreach programming.
Start your own campaign: Whether it's running a marathon or starting a birthday fundraiser, there are a number of ways you can get your community engaged in our program! Create a group fundraiser via GoFundMe Charity or Facebook, or another peer-to-peer fundraising platform.
Check out our Event Calendar: We have several events annual events open to the public each year. We'd love for you to join us!
Have another idea? We'd love to hear from you. Let us know how you can help us build brains across Minnesota!
