It has been a remarkable year for Reach Out and Read Minnesota. Thanks to the hard work of our team and the generosity of our community, we have made major strides forward in expanding our impact on young children and their families across the state.
We believe that every day we are making progress towards our vision of a brighter future for Minnesota children and families, a future where every child is read to every day and where every child has the resources and relationships they need to succeed.
This past year, we delivered more books to more families at more clinics than ever before. We took on new initiatives and partnerships to help make sure that every child in Minnesota has the tools, relationships, and support they need to succeed. We also received media coverage in publications like Forbes and MPLS.ST.PAUL Magazine.
Between July 1st, 2023 and June 30th 2024, our program distributed 320,234 books to young children and their families in Minnesota, an increase of more than 23,500 over last year. Our staff made more than 170 site visits to clinics all around the state, nearly twice as many as the previous year. We also brought on nine new clinics into our network, brining our total to 305 clinics statewide.
