Donate Books
Note (12/1/22): We are not able to accept donations of fewer than 500 used books until spring 2023. Used book donations of 500 or more can be coordinated by filling out the form below. If you have a question about whether we can accept your donation, please reach out to us and we will get back to you in a timely manner.
Books make our program work. They spark a connection between healthcare provider and child, and serve as a building block for a child's learning and growth.
When you provide Reach Out and Read Minnesota clinics with high-quality and age appropriate books, you help us to build kid's brains and bring families together.
Our greatest need is for new books for children ages 0-5 years for use in our program. If you, your workplace, family, or community organization are interested in providing new books for our program, please review our new book donation guidelines and contact us before starting the drive. This way we can ensure the very best books get into the hands of kids who will benefit most.
We are also happy to share that we are once again accepting donations of gently used books. We can accept used books in good condition for children of all ages, from board books to chapter books. Gently used books are used to supplement our core program; they are given out to older siblings of children receiving our core program, and to children visiting the clinic outside of their regular well-child visits (such as a sick visit), and are often available in clinic waiting rooms. We cannot accept books with religious themes, violence, or which promote unhealthy habits.
If you are interested in donating books or would like to learn more, please use our form below or email us at info@reachoutandreadmn.org and we will get back to you with more information.
