Reach Out and Read Minnesota Welcomes Three New Members to Board

Reach Out and Read Minnesota is excited to share that, as of January 2025, three new members have been appointed to our board of directors. These new members have diverse and relevant professional experience which will help our organization to grow our impact and better serve young children and their families across the state.
The Reach Out and Read Minnesota board, currently composed of 14 members, serve in a volunteer capacity to helm the governance of the organization and participate in committees, such as the fundraising and finance committees, in order to help the organization grow sustainably and with equity. Amy Fields, CPA (inactive)Title: Business Development Executive, Brown & Brown Insurance
Experience: Amy is a former CFO and accomplished business development executive with over 30 years of experience in risk management, financial management, and consulting. As a board member, Amy leverages her entrepreneurial spirit and deep financial expertise to contribute to organizational success.
On joining the board: "As a child, one of my favorite summer activities was the twice monthly trip to the library. It was a time I shared with my mom, and I loved the opportunity to select my own books to read over the following weeks. I am passionate about literacy and the accessibility of books to children and families, and I truly believe that shared reading builds a bond between a parent and child and sets the tone for not only a child’s educational success, but also for life."

Anna Regas Paulson, M.Ed.Title: Grant Project Coordinator, Help Me Grow
Experience: In her role with Help Me Grow, Anna supports public awareness efforts focused on educating expectant and new caregivers on the milestones of child development, encouraging healthy development, the signs of a developmental delay and the process to find supports and services through the school districts. Previous roles included directing educational initiatives for the Minnesota Commission of the Deaf, Deaf-Blind, & Hard of Hearing and instructing teacher candidates in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and Early Childhood Special Education programs at the University of Minnesota.
On joining the board: "I believe that all children have innate potential and extraordinary promise. The mission of Reach Out & Read – to ensure that children have access to the “brain building power of books” is a vital part of drawing out the promise of a happy, healthy future. I am honored to be part of a program that distributes the joy and benefits of shared reading with all families."

Christina Tibesar,Title: Senior Client Solutions Director at Brillect
Experience: Christina has spent the past 20 years in the staffing and consulting solutions industry. Currently, she works for Brillect, where she supports clients through crucial transitions, projects and filling gaps in expertise by identifying the right consulting talent aligned to their needs. She has a passion for connecting, mentoring, and coaching professionals throughout their careers.
On joining the board: "I am thrilled to join the board at Reach Out and Read! As a Mom to one teen and one tween, I love reading aloud to them (still!) – in a hyper-connected world, reading together is the opportunity to share undivided attention with one another. Through my service to Reach Out and Read, I hope to share that passion with families across the state of Minnesota, so that everyone can experience the same joy I do when reading to and with my kids, not to mention the long-term benefits for each and every child!"
