Reach Out and Read Minnesota has a unique opportunity to make an impact on a child’s life when it makes the biggest difference: the very beginning. Right now, we are the only organization that can reach every child and their family before they enter kindergarten. When doctors and nurses in every corner of the state implement our program, they're not only giving out a book, they are giving young children and their families the tools they need to build stronger brains and pave the way for a brighter future.
We know our program works: families who participate in our program are 2.5 times more likely to read to their children, and children who participate in our program improve their language skills by 3-6 months.
But this program doesn't happen all by itself! We need your help to bring our program to the children and families who need it.
