2016 Benefit Breakfast Recap
On May 18th, 2016, almost 125 people attended our fifth annual benefit breakfast at the Wilder Center. Guests had the opportunity to learn more about Reach Out and Read and our impact around the state in the last year, which includes a 39% growth in the number of children served. Physician Robyn Tabibi shared her experience using the program with her diverse patient population, and interpreter Pawwah Toe discussed the ways that the program helps new immigrants. Our featured speaker Melvin Carter III, Exectutive Director of the Minnesota Children's Cabinet, ended the breakfast with a call to action to serve Minnesota's youngest learners.
A big thank you to our Leadership Partner sponsors HealthPartners and Children's Minnesota, and our Literacy Partner sponsors Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Fairview, and 3M.
