Our program gives young children a foundation to succeed for the rest of their lives. The evidence shows that when young children are read to, they do far better in school, they develop stronger emotional bonds with their loved ones, and they gain a love of reading and learning that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. We know that early literacy is one of the strongest determinants of a child's lifelong health and well-being.
We also know that not every family has access to the resources they need to help their children learn.
Your support will help us:
Provide families in need with books and the early learning support they need to help their children succeed
Supply books that represent the diverse populations and languages of our communities
Bring our evidence-based program to new clinics and new families across the state
Give Minnesota healthcare workers the tools they need to connect and build meaningful relationships with young patients and their families
Help us share the brain-building power of books with Minnesotan children today.
"I really like going to the doctor now that I get a book!"
-Patient, Children's Partners in Pediatrics, Plymouth
"Giving books never gets old. Seeing a child's face when we give a book is always wonderful. It often feels like they are getting their first book ever."
-Dr. Jill Amsberry, CentraCare, St. Cloud
